Jersey Girl

My Score
9/10
Well, let me start with the coming attractions….the first one was a dancing movie with Jennifer Lopez and Richard Gere….enough said about that one, the next one caught my eye, mainly because it had Johnny Depp in it, the greatest known actor. Finding Neverland, this movie looked so kick ass. Then there was one called Finding Frankie, if that guy is Merek from Timeline, damn he looks different. And there’s a few parts to Raising Hellen, with Kate Hudson, that look petty funny. As for the movie, the beginning part, with View Askew, was awesome! Jay and Bob rock! Great movie. The acting was awesome, from Ben Affleck to George Carlin to Liv Tyler to Raquel Castro to Jason Biggs, I think I could’ve done without J Lo though. George Carlin, Ben Affleck, and Jason Biggs provided the comedy. The only thing is the advertisement of this movie sways you to believe it’s about the relationship between Ben Affleck and Liv Tyler when actually it’s about Ben’s relationship with his daughter. Also, the cameos by Jason Lee, Matt Damon, and Will Smith were good. I think the movie could’ve done with a Jay and Silent Bob cameo too.
MoViE ZoNe Review
The movie starts showing Ollie Trinke (Ben Affleck) and his soon to be wife Gertrude (Jennifer Lopez) living in the city and Ollie proposing, and Gertrude having Gertie Trinke (Raquel Castro). Gertrude dies giving birth, so Ollie freaks out pretty much and starts working like crazy, he’s a publicist in the music business, and totally ignores his daughter and let’s his father, Bart Trinke (George Carlin) take care of her. Ollie makes a comment about some media and a certain Fresh Prince and is fired, so he moves from New York to New Jersey to take care of his daughter. The movie skips 7 years and starts to show the relationship between Ollie and Gertie. Eventually Ollie becomes friends with a movie store clerk named Mya (Liv Tyler). He asks a favor from his old assistant Arthur (Jason Biggs) and gets an interview with a big time publicist. The only problem is the interview is on the same day as his daughter’s play. After having a hat with Will Smith about their kids in the waiting room of the publicist’s building, Ollie hurries to the play and makes it just in time. He then tells his father, daughter, and probably soon-to-be girlfriend that he is staying in Jersey.
So the movie was great, I didn’t think it would appeal to me at first, but once J Lo left, the movie got good. The little girl is awesome; she’s cute and can act. I think they could’ve done with a little more story with Liv Tyler and Jason Biggs. George Carlin was hilarious; Affleck and Biggs had some funny parts too. The chemistry and story between father and daughter is great. Kevin Smith did a great job with this movie. If your looking for a romantic (sorta) comedy, this is it.
Quote
Gertrude Steiny: Your going to the bar?
Bart Trinke: Didn’t he tell you? I’m an *wiggles fingers* alcoholic.
Ollie Trinke: Honey, they’re all skinny because they’re coked out whores.
Gertrude Steiny: *crying* I wanna be a coked out whore.
Ollie Trinke: Alright, you can be a coked out whore.
Bart Trinke: *cuddling baby* Sure, you can stay with me whenever, until you’re a teenager, with the boys, and the reefer, then I don’t wanna know about you.
Bart Trinke: The sun even shines on the dog’s ass some days.
Greenie: Your getting a dog?

Soul Plane, The Punisher, and The Ladykillers
Soul Plane

My Score
6.5/10
Soul Plane was your basic black comedy. Tom Arnold, Ryan Pinkston, Snoop Dogg, and Method Man are hilarious. I gave this movie a 6.5 because the plot wasn’t really that great. I liked the Punk'd reference in there by Tom Arnold and Ryan Pinkston, considering they both have worked for Punk'd. The part with the Arab guy was good too. It was basically about this guy who starts his own airline.
MoViE ZoNe Review
The movie starts where Nashawn Wade (Kevin Hart) is getting on an airline, at first he can't being his dog on board, then they run out of chicken, then his ass is sucked into the toilet, and lastly, his dog takes a ride through the propellers, so he sues the airline company and ends up getting 100 million dollars. With this money he opens his own airline, NWA. The piglet is Captain Mack (Snoop Dogg), a man who learned how to fly in prison (with the Taliban, LOL!), is afraid of heights, and has never flown a plane before. Nashawn's cousin, Muggsy (Method Man) is the one who hired him. Elvis Hunkee (Tom Arnold) and his family are the only white people on the plane. His daughter is about to turn 18 and basically tells her father she's gonna be a slut, his son, who early in the movie dressed and wanted to be like his father, is now decked out in gangster gear and his girlfriend hurts her vocal cords with this other guy, I'll leave it at that. Well on the plane is Nashawn's old girlfriend, Giselle (K.D. Aubert), who's engaged now. He spends most of the time trying to talk to her. The scenes in the cockpit are by far the best. Anyway, Elvis makes up with his daughter and Captain Mack ends up dieing because he eats African mushrooms so Nashawn, Giselle, Elvis, Mugs, the hot Spanish stuartist and Jamiqua (Mo'Nique) one of the security woman have to figure out how to land the plane, which they do a good job of.
It was a pretty funny movie. The best parts of the movie was in the cockpit, as stated earlier, with Snoop Dogg and his African co-pilot, hilarious stuff. Now there can definitely be a sequel, but apparently this one didn't do too great in theatres so who knows.
Quote
Gayman: *under his breath* Sh*t, I should be flying this plane, in Africa I was captain of the airlines, ‘dis motherf*cker doesn’t know how to fly.
Captain Mack: *getting dreads put in* Man, shut the f*ck up, I here you over there ‘I was captain of blah blah blah” whatever man.
The Punisher

My Score
8/10
It's your basic revenge story. The action was awesome, and they did The Punisher character perfectly. John Travolta and Tom Jane were awesome. His GTO is great and his neighbors supply the humor in the movie.
MoViE ZoNe Review
The movie started at a boatyard, where a weapons deal was going to happen, the deal went bad and the police showed up. Now the guy selling the weapons happened to be an undercover cop named Frank Castle (Tom Jane). One of the two guys buying the weapons was Howard Saint's (John Travolta) son, he was killed in a gunfight that followed. Castle retires after this and goes to a family reunion in Puerto Rico. Saint's pissed that his son is dead and finds out what happened then orders Frank and his entire family killed, so Saint's guys go down to Puerto Rico and shoot everything up. They run over Frank's wife and son and leave Frank for dead, but wouldn't you know it, he doesn't die. He rests up then becomes The Punisher. He threatens Saint's lackey Mick (the other guy who was buying the guns), Mick hates the Saints and decides to help Frank. So the first thing Frank does is watch everyone, he takes his tombstone and puts it in a golf course that Howard Saint goes to, so they know he's alive. Frank then goes on to steal and give out a lot of Saint's money, then kill two of the guys that killed his family. After this Saint sends a couple of hitman after Frank, first some guy that has a guitar, Frank kills him with a knife to the throat, then a big Russian guy (played by wrestling's Kevin Nash). The Russian guy gives Frank his best fight, but Frank ends up scolding the guy's face and knocking him down a flight of stairs, killing him. After this Frank plans and comes up with a way for Howard Saint to kill his wife Livia (Laura Harring), who was actually the person who wanted Frank's family killed, and his best friend, so Frank frames them into sleeping with each other and Howard finds out and kills them both. Now Howard gets a bunch of guys in his house and tells them that they get 50 grand and 50 more when they kill Frank, Frank crashes the party and kills everyone, including Howard and his other son. Frank then is about to kill himself but decides he is going to be a vigilante called The Punisher.
Now I've never seen the original or read the comics, so I didn't really know what was gonna happen. The action scenes were awesome, the ending had a whole bunch of explosions which were great, and the fact that he gets back at all of the guys that killed his family is awesome. There could definitely be a sequel to this one. The thing that I liked most about this movie was The Punisher's arsenal and attitude. If you like action movies or movies based on comic books, you'll like this one.
Quote
Frank Castle: This is not vengeance. Revenge is not a valid move, it’s an emotional response……No, not vengeance………..punishment.
The Ladykillers

My Score
7/10
The thing that I liked about this movie was Marlon Wayans, he was hilarious. Other then that, the movie was decent, I thought the ending sucked. Tom Hanks was awesome in this movie, is character is great. Marlon Wayans and J.K. Simmons play off each other perfectly.
MoViE ZoNe Review
The movie starts with Professor G. H. Dor (Tom Hanks) acquires Marva Munson’s (Irma P. Hall) spare bedroom and starts plotting to rob a casino. His group consist of the inside guy, the foul mouthed Gawain (Marlon Wayans), along with a former general (Tzi Ma), a football oaf named Lump (Ryan Hurst), and Pancake (J.K. Simmons), an explosives ‘expert.’ They’re cover is that they’re a band. They’re first drag is when Gawain gets fired and there is a rock in their way, they easily overcome these obstacles and soon obtain 1.6 million dollars, at the cost of Pancake’s finger, which is carried away by Marva’s pet cat Pickles, who has been watching the men most of the time. Marva finds out about it and tells them t decide, either they give up the money and go to church, or they go to jail. So they plan to kill her, first Gawain tries to kill her, but she reminds him of his mother. He gets into a fight with Pancake and Gawain ends up getting shot and dies. Then Pancake tries to escape with the money, so The General kills him. Then The General tries to kill the old lady but trips on the stairs and dies. So all that’s left is The Professor and Lump. Lump turns on The Professor and goes to shoot him with a gun that was just given to him by The Professor. The first shot is blank, so Lump raises the gun to his face and looks down the chamber to find that there is a bullet in the gun. So now all that’s left is The Professor, and while he’s looking off the bridge, a statue breaks and falls on his head, knocking him over the river. The Sheriff doesn’t believe Marva that she has the stolen money so he tells her to keep it, so she donates it all away. At the end, the cat drops Pancake’s finger off the bridge.
So, as you can see, it sucks that they all die and all their hard work goes to waste, and I like the thing about the cat, either saying it played a role in their downfall or that it learned something from them. I was really bummed when Marlon died, that kind of killed the comedy in the movie. If your looking for a decent comedy, you might be able to find it in The Ladykillers.

Godsend and The Count of Monte Cristo
Godsend

My Score
6.8/10
Godsend was decent, nothing great. The acting was awesome, great jobs by Rebecca Romanin Stamos, Greg Kinnear, and Robert De Niro. This movie moved really slowly though. It drags a lot, and the plot gets confusing at parts, but the twist at the end is great. Some parts of the movie were pretty spooky, but nothing too great.
MoViE ZoNe Review
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The movie starts with Paul (Greg Kinnear) and Jesse Duncan (Rebecca Romanin Stamos) throwing their son Adam a birthday party, then the next day Adam dies in a car accident. Richard (Robert De Niro) approaches them and tells them that he can ‘recreate’ their son, exact same features and everything. At first Paul doesn’t want to do it, but they eventually do. They then move to a new city, cut off ties to their friends, etc. The ‘cloning’ goes well. The movie skips 8 years, where Adam starts having these night terrors; this is after he passed the point where the first Adam lived till. He starts acting like he’s possessed sometimes. During this time he is seeing visions, a school burning down, a woman being murdered, etc. He eventually kills this kid from his school. He tells his father Paul how this boy Zachary is in his dreams. Richard keeps telling Paul and Jesse this is nothing but night terrors, but Paul thinks otherwise. He researches this Zachary and finds out that Zachary was Richard’s son. Zach flipped out, brunt down a school, killed his mother, then set his house on fire and proceeded to finish playing, where he died. Paul confronts Richard and tells him how he’s finished and that he’s going to the police, Richard knocks Paul out and leaves. Adam, now possessed by Zachary, is about to kill Jesse with an ax, but Paul shows up just in time and saves her. It then skips 6 months later, Paul, Jesse, and Adam now live in another house in another city and Richard has gone missing, but it shows him looking at the newspapers that say he’s missing and looking through the obituaries. As for Adam, the movie ends with him being pulled into a closet by supposedly the undead Adam and then reappearing and telling his father he’s fine.
So, as you can see, if that wasn’t confusing, it was a pretty weird movie. It definitely leaves it open for a sequel. At some points they throw so much story at you it’s a little hard to piece it together, but it all plays out in the end. If you like movies about possessed people, then you’ll like this one, if your looking for your average horror movie, pass this one.
Quote
Zachary (In Adam’s Body): Adam can’t come out to play Mrs. Duncan.
The Count of Monte Cristo

My Score
10/10
Oh man, awesome movie! The acting is great, Jim Cavieziel, as usual, was awesome, and the lead female, Dagmara Dominczyk, was beautiful. The story was awesome, it was adapted from a book of the same title. The movie is about love, betrayal, and revenge, and it’s all done outstandingly.
MoViE ZoNe Review
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The film starts with Edmond (Jim Cavieziel) and Fernando (Guy Pearce) bringing their captain to this island in search of assistance. There they find the imprisoned Napoleon Bonaparte. Napoleon give Edmond a letter to deliver to a friend of his, saying it’s innocent. When Fernando finds out about it, he tells the police and Edmond is arrested for treason, the letter was a plan to get Napoleon out. Edmond is freed when they find out he told no one, until he says who he was supposed to give the letter too, the head guy’s father. So the guy banishes Edmond to some prison on a island, telling his loved ones that he was arrested for treason and murder and that he was executed. After several years, Edmond meets Abbe Faria, a fellow prisoner, together they plot to escape. Abbe teaches Edmond to read, fight, etc. Abbe dies and Edmond escapes using the bodybag Abbe is to be put in. Right before dieing, Abbe tells Edmond about a treasure, Edmond finds it and is richer then rich. He disguises himself as The Count of Monte Cristo to get close to those he wants revenge from. He eventually gets revenge on all of them in awesome ways! Oh man, this was the best part of the movie, he gets back at each person and lives on with his fortune, his wife, and his son.
The Count of Monte Cristo was great, not a lot of action, but enough things happen to keep you watching. After Edmond becomes The Count is where the movie really gets good. The entire film is awesome, and there’s enough drama, comedy, action, romance, etc to make anyone happy. I highly recommend this one.
Quotes
Luigi: We shall call him…..Zatarra.
Edmond: Sounds fearsome.
Luigi:It means, “driftwood.”
Jacopo: Why not just kill them? I'll do it! I'll run up to Paris - bam, bam, bam, bam. I'm back before week's end. We spend the treasure. How is this a bad plan?
Luigi : We watch you and Jacopo fight to the death. If Jacopo wins, we welcome him back to the crew. If you win, I have given Jacopo the chance to live, even if he did not take advantage of it, and you can take his place on the boat.
Edmond : What if I win and I don't want to be a smuggler?
Luigi : Then we slit your throat, and we're a bit shorthanded.
[Pause]
Edmond : I find that smuggling is the life for me, and would be delighted to kill your friend the maggot!
Fernand Mondego : Edmond? How did you...
Edmond : Escape? With difficulty. How did I plan this very moment? With pleasure!
Fernand Mondego : So, it was you that stole Mercedes.
Edmond : And everything else. Except your life.
Fernand Mondego : Why are you doing this?
Edmond : [pauses] It's complicated. Let's just say it's vengeance from the life that you stole from me.

The Musketeer and Twisted
The Musketeer

My Score:
8/10
The Musketeer was a decent movie about your basic Three Musketeers. This one was a little different because it focuses on one of the Musketeers. There wasn’t a lot of known actors. The acting could've been a little better and a few of the parts looked fake, but besides that, this was a pretty good movie.
MoViE ZoNe Review:
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The movie starts with D’Artagan as a little kid, his father and mother are murdered by Febre and D’Artagan is left to be raised by someguy. The movie then skips 14 years later where D’Artagan is trying to become a Musketeer like his father. At this point in time though, not many people want to be Musketeers. The Cardinal is working on taking control with the help of Febre, but Febre loses his mind and kidnaps the queen with intentions to kill her, all of the king's Musketeer’s unite and save her, and in an awesome last battle, D’Artagan kills Febre.
The thing that was awesome about this movie was the action, the movie is filled with awesome battle scenes, from start to finish, and the other two Musketeers add the humor to the movie. The Musketeer also did a good job of recreating that time period. All and all, it was a pretty good movie, if you like this type of action (sword fighting, etc) then you will love this movie.
Quotes
Pothos: I just knew he was going to blow something up.
Francesca: You behave as though you’ve never seen a naked woman.
D’Artagan: Heh. Never one quote so….uh..naked….or…or so beautiful.
Francesca: You’ve seen many ugly naked woman?
D’Artagan: That’s not what I meant.
Athos: Wondering around in a sewer, you consider this the test of a man?
Aramis: There is a certain lack of dignity in it.
Aramis: Was he talking to you or me?
Athos: Me!
Aramis: I thought I was the baker?
Athos: There’s blood on your apron, you think that came from a crusant?
Aramis: Oh right.
Twisted

My Score
8/10
Twisted was a pretty good film, keeps you guessing till the very end (and I was still wrong, lol). Now this movie is based around the twists, so if you want to enjoy it, then it would be wise not to read the MoViE ZoNe Review, if you could give two sh*ts, then by all means, feel free too. Anyway, the acting was awesome, Samuel L Jackson, Andy Garcia, and Ashley Judd gave spectacular performances. Some parts did drag a little and there’s never really a point where the film grabs you and doesn’t let go till the end.
MoViE ZoNe Review:
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
It starts with Jessica Shepard (Ashley Judd) arresting this murderer, then she’s promoted to Homicide. She meets up with her new partner, Mike Delmarco (Andy Garcia). John Mills (Samuel L Jackson), the commissioner, raised Jessica because her father went on a killing spree, ending with her mother, then killed himself. Jessica goes around bars and sleeps with random guys, don’t know why, she just does sometimes. Her first case on Homicide turns out to be a serial killer. The thing is, all of the victims are guys she’s slept with. Everything points to her, she blacks out every night one of them is killed, she has a connection with each guy, etc. Now at first I thought it was her old partner, jealous about all these guys, and trying to protect her, but I quickly changed my suspicion to her psychiatrist. But it ends up I was way off. She eventually gets put in prison, but John gets her out because she didn’t do it, she was drugged, roofies. So every night she would pass out, it was because someone was putting roofies in her wine and then going out and killing these guys. Who has access to her place? Knows where she will be at all times in case they need to get in touch with her, etc? Her partner. So John and Jessica go to Mike’s house, where John drugs Mike and is about to kill him the same way he killed all the rest, that’s right, John is the murderer! Jessica doesn’t believe it and just watches. John sets up the scene so it looks like Mike killed himself, and that’s when Jessica started thinking about the photos of her father’s suicide crime scene, and it looked a lot like this one, the arrangement, the story, etc. So this is when Jessica figures it out that John is the one that killed all the people her father had supposedly killed, then he killed her mother and her father. So she keeps John at gunpoint, giving Mike a chance to run, John chases after him and then he admits what he’s done to Jessica, who has her cell phone on with her old partner and the head of Homicide on the other line. So John says he’s done well in teaching her and is about to shoot Mike, but Jessica shoots and kills John, the end.
So as you can see if you read the MoViE ZoNe review, it was a complete twist in the end, a good ending at that. As stated above, the movie has a hard time keeping you hooked but they do a decent job. Some of the movie drags, it gets a little repetitive but they tie it all to and end perfectly. If you want a good crime drama with a twist, definitely check this one out.

Frequency

My Score
10/10
Frequency was an awesome movie. Dennis Quaid and Jim Cavieziel were great. Basically it’s about this guy, John (Jim Cavieziel) who finds his father’s old radio and hooks it up and finds out he can communicate with his father through it. He lives in 1999, his father is in 1969.
MoViE ZoNe Review
The movie starts taking place in 1969, it show’s Frank (Dennis Quaid) rescuing some guy, Frank is a firefighter. It then goes on to show Frank’s family, etc. Then it cuts to 1999 where John’s (Jim Cavieziel) girlfriend is leaving. John is a cop. John is also Frank’s son. John’s friend Gordo comes over and Gordo’s kid finds Frank’s old radio in the closet, they hook it up but Gordo and his son leave. John talks to someone on the radio and the next day talks to them again, finding out that it’s his father Frank 30 years ago. John tells Frank how he’s supposed to die the next day, so Frank avoids his death and lives. He still dies 20 years later because of lung cancer, he smokes a lot. Because of Frank not dieing, the past changes, now John’s mother, Frank’s wife, Jules (Elizabeth Mitchell) gets murdered by a serial killer. The rest of the movie is John communicating with Frank over the radio, trying to help him stop the murder. Frank does end up stopping the guy with John’s help and quits smoking, So it’s now 1999 and Jules, Frank, everyone’s alive and well. John is back with his girlfriend and have a son of their own.
All and all, it was an awesome movie. Awesome job by Jim Cavieziel and Dennis Quaid. For most of the second half of the movie your on the edge of your seat. They do a good job of making it look like it everything can turn out bad, but everything ends up coming together. They do good with the changing of things in the future when something happens in the past. The ending was awesome too, the one I was hoping for. I highly suggest this movie.

Ella Enchanted

My Score:
7.5/10
Ella Enchanted was a decent movie, your basic medieval fairy tale. Now I myself am a huge fan of Medieval Movies. A Knight's Tale and Timeline are two of my favorite movies. So I had an interest to see this when it first came out, but I'm not one to go to the movies a lot (until I get a car!) So I usually wait for stuff to come out on video. Anyway, the movie is about this girl, Ella (Anne Hathaway) who has a gift (curse really) that she has to do whatever she's told. The movie follows her journey to try and get rid of this gift.
MoViE ZoNe Review:
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The movie starts when Ella is a baby, a fairy named Lucinda comes and gives her this gift of obediance. She grows up having to do whatever she's told. Her mother tells her about this gift/curse when she's around 8 yrs old. Soon after her mother passes away and the movie skips to when she's grown up. Her father is remarrying and Ella's new stepmother has two 'evil' daughters. Remind you of anything? They find out Ella has to do whatever she's told and make Ella's life miserable. Now the current king of the kingdom or whatever is Edgar, and he's plain evil, with a nifty little talking snake by his side, his nephew, Char, is the next king. All the girls are absolutely obsessed with Char, except Ella. Well Ella meets up with the Prince and he liks her, and after seeing how he is nothing like his uncle, she starts liking him too. Well she decides to go and look for Lucinda, because Lucinda is the only one who can take the gift back. So she starts out on this journeywith her housefairy's boyfriend, a book named Benny. (Enchantment gone wrong) She ends up meeting an elf named Slannen who hates being an elf and wants to be a lawyer (but because of Edgar's rules, he can't) So he joins Ella on her quest. Well Ella is about to be eaten by Ogres when Prince Char shows up and saves her. They go to the castle. Ella can't find Lucinda and Edgar learns about her gift/curse. Prince Char tells his uncle that he plans to propose to Ella, Edgar goes and tells Ella to kill Prince Char when he proposes, and her being cursed, has to do it. But she overcomes her curse and is able to drop the dagger before she plunges it into Char's heart. Char thinks she tried to kill him and Edgar worsens the situation, Ella is sent to prison. Slannen ralleys the giants, and ogres, and elves and makes an attempt to save Ella, which he does. Edgar poisons Char's crown and Char is about to be crowned at the seremony when Ella comes in and saves the day. They beat up all Edgar's Guards and the Red Army or whatever and Char learns that Edgar killed his father. Edgar says it was because he wanted to be king and puts the crown on....the poisoned one. So he gets messed up, Ella marries Char, Benny turns back into a human, and everyone lives happily ever after....you expected something different??
Anyway, it was a good movie, especially if you like the Dark Ages like I do. Definitely a kid movie, but hey, I enjoyed it. At some point in the movie, I actually thought there wasn't going to be a happy ending, they do a good job of making the situations almost impossible for Ella to overcome and then end with a happy ending. If you like fairytales, Dark Ages, or anything like that, you'll probably like this movie. I'll probably end up buying it, just for the Medieval point of it, but truthfully, it was an entertaining movie.

*Knock Knock, Guard opens the hatch.*
Slannen: Open up. I'm Mrs. Frell's legal representation.
Guard: Her what?
Slannen: Her lawyer, numbsckull. If the gauntlet doesn't fit, you must acquit. Now, open this door before I sue you for everything you own. Now, move it! Come on! Come on!
*Guard hurridly opens door and follows Slannen into the hall.*
Slannen: Thank you. Slannen of Pim is not an elf easily drawn into a legal battle...
*Ogres hit the Guard with their clubs when he turns the corner and procede to beat him up as Slannen has his back to them and procedes to talk.*
Slannen: .....but when faced with a challenge for the principals to equality, freedom and civil liberties...
*Ogres continue to beat on the Guard until he's knocked out.*
Slannen: ...this elf will draw the sword of justice...
*Ogre puts pepper onto the knocked out Guard's hand and is about to take a bite when Slannen turns around.*
Slannen: ...and furthermore...Excuse me, what is going on here?
*Ogre stops, right before taking a bite.*
Ogre: Well, can we atleast take him to go?
Slannen: Put the nice man down.
*The Ogre looks sad and drops the knocked out Guard.*
Well I still have Godsend and Twisted to watch, so expect a MoViE ZoNE on them soon.

Well I just finished watching The Passion Of The Christ, and if you’ve seen the movie, you probably have an idea of what I’m feeling right now. I am in a state of utter awe. This is a must see movie, it’s kind of hard to explain.
MoViE ZoNe Review:
I’m sure you heard about this movie from someone, and whatever you heard, it’s ten times more. There is no way to comprehend exactly what you’ve heard about this movie unless you see it yourself. The graphic stuff is very intense, there’s not really a better way to explain it. I myself am Catholic and truthfully, this movie has made me more passionate about my religion. Even if your not religious, you should still see this movie, just for the experience. As for the movie part of it, the acting was superb, best I’ve ever seen. As for the subtitles, I know a lot of people hate subtitles, but they’re just not annoying in this film, I really don’t know how to explain it. I did cry during this movie, if you saw it and didn’t cry, I really don’t know what to say, I guess I feel sorry for you. The two parts that made me cry was when Jesus said “See Mother, I make all things new.” And when they were nailing him to the cross and he said “Father…..forgive them….for they do not know…” There’s not much more I can say about this film, just that if you haven’t seen it yet, do so, I warn you though, it is very, very graphic.
As for what the movie was about, if you honestly have no idea, go pick up the bible, there’s the movie.
Quote:
Jesus: See Mother, I make all things new.

Taking Lives and Highwaymen
Taking Lives

How can any movie with Angelina Jolie be bad, especially if it’s unrated *WINK* Yes, I did just wink, you know what that means, Angelina gets naked and does the nasty with Ethan Hawke. Anyway, this was a pretty good movie, little predictable but good nonetheless. Decent acting jobs by all the actors. Kiefer Sutherland wasn’t even in the movie that much.
MoViE ZoNe Review:
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The movie starts with showing exactly how it all started, with this kid (Asher) who is taking a bus, the bus breaks down and he finds a ride with this other kid, and eventually kills him and takes his identity. Then it skips about 20 years or so to the present time, where some Canadian cops, Paquette and Leclair, Leclair is shot and killed by Asher later on, are finding a body at a construction site. They call in Illeana (Angelina Jolie) because she’s good at these kind of crimes. So they end up getting a witness to another murder, Costa (Ethan Hawke). From here on in it’s basically the detectives trying to figure out who’s identity Asher has this time.. Eventually they start to believe it’s Hart (Kiefer Sutherland), who is after Costa. Hart ends up dieing in a car chase where he has Costa hostage. Costa and Illeana fall in love and do the nasty. The cops then bring in Asher’s mother to ID the body, but she just walks away. Illeana tries to catch up with her but Mrs. Asher is already in the elevator, where she is approached by her son, Costa! (Like ya didn’t see that one coming. At first I thought it might be Asher, but the movie drew me away from thinking it was him and what’d ya know, it is.) Mrs. Asher tells Asher/Costa how she thinks he’s evil and wants nothing to do with him. Illeana reaches the ground floor just in time to see the elevator open and Asher/Costa hacking away at his mother’s neck with blood all over the elevator. He stands up with his mother’s head, tears in his eyes, and looks at Illeana as the doors close. He gets away and Illeana gets fired. The movie then skips 7 months to Illeana living in a small town by herself, pregnant. She is alone in her house and walks downstairs to get her tea when she sees Asher/Costa. He throws her around, saying he wants to start over with their baby, she pisses him off by saying it’s Costa’s baby, not Asher’s. He throws her on the floor and stuff and makes her say it’s his baby. She grabs scissors and tries to stab him, but he ends up getting them and stabs her right in the stomach! She doubles over in pain and pops back up, stabbing Asher/Costa right in the chest (around where the heart is.) He looks at her in disbelief and drops to his knees, she takes the rubber belly out from under her nightie as Asher/Costa has a look of sadness on his face then he drops dead, she calls Paquette and tells him it’s done, the movie ends.
So the movie itself was a good watch, dragged at some points and there could’ve been more too it, they do a good job getting your suspicions off of Costa, and they fail to address a few things later in the movie (like the sketch), but all and all, it was a decent film, watch it if you get a chance, but I would suggest Highwaymen over this.
Quote
Paquette: *answers phone* Yes, we got a match for the sketch? OK.
Illeana: *gets up from table* We should be following up on that.
Paquette: Uh can’t you see that we’re still eating our breakfast?
Illeana drops down a photo of the mutilated body. Paquette looks from the photo to her to his food then reluctantly gets up and grabs his jacket.
Highwaymen

First, I’d just like to address the coming attractions, they had Butterfly Effect, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and Frequency, so this movie was scheduled to come out way before it did. BTW, Frequency looks like an awesome movie, Jim Cavieziel and Dennis Quade, I’m going to see it asap. As for Highwaymen, Awesome movie, Jim Cavieziel has been dubbed Thu Man, Johnny Deep is still THEE man, but Jim Cavieziel is now Thu Man! He did an awesome job in this movie, his surrounding cast wasn’t bad either, but there’s no doubt he made this movie, The main female Molly (Rhona Mitra) wasn’t bad either, she was hot and all. And the bad guy Fargo (Colm Feore) was great, very original.
MoViE ZoNe Review:
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
Right at the beginning your left with your jaw dropped, it’s like Whoa! Then it skips to five years later and shows these two girls driving in a tunnel, they avoid a crash and one of them is killed by Fargo, the robotic guy driving the Cadillac. Before he can kill the other girl, Molly, some guy comes so Fargo takes off after taking Molly’s picture. Rennie (Jim Cavieziel) then finds Molly and tells her how it happened to him too and all. Later that night Fargo tries to kill her again, but Rennie saves her. He then goes on to schedule a meeting with Fargo, Fargo wants Molly, Rennie wants Fargo. So now Molly starts to not trust Rennie but he tells her how Fargo killed his wife (the beginning scene) then how he tried to kill Fargo and ended up in prison for three years and Fargo ended up in the hospital for 18 months where he had to be ‘rebuilt.’ Now Fargo has his car customized to fit him perfect, the steering, everything. Rennie’s Barricuda is awesome too. Anyway, so Rennie and Molly meet Fargo and Fargo ends up capturing Molly. Rennie meets up with this cop named Macklin (Frankie Faison), this cops a traffic cop, so he hasn’t killed anyone or arrested anyone. So Fargo tells Rennie to come to the hotel where his wife was killed, that’s where he’s going to kill Molly. So Rennie and Macklin go, Fargo dresses Molly to look just like Rennie’s wife. So Fargo is about to run Molly over with Rennie looking on but Macklin comes out of left field and rams Fargo! Allowing Molly to get away. Now Rennie and Fargo play a sort of chicken, Rennie advances while Fargo retreats. Fargo turns his car around, bumping Rennie’s causing it to flip over and such. So Fargo gets out of his car and makes his way over to the Barricuda, which is on it’s side. Fargo gets there and the car drops down, revealing Rennie still alive just a little dazed. So Fargo freaks out and tries to turn his wheelchair around and get back to his car, because without his car, he’s nothing. He reaches his car just in time to grab hold of the door which Molly is closing. Molly reverses with Fargo hanging onto the door as Rennie starts up his Barricuda, Molly and Rennie speed at each other with Rennie hitting Fargo head on then sandwiching him between the Barricuda and another car. Rennie then gets out and hugs Molly as cops and ambulances come. Macklin walks over to Fargo, who’s bleeding on the floor, Macklin picks up Rennie’s wife’s necklace (Fargo always takes a souvenir) and Fargo jumps, Macklin then shoots him.
All and all, it was a great movie, very original and entertaining, there’s enough chase scenes to keep you into it the whole time. I just think it would’ve been a better ending if Fargo survived, could of made for a sequel.
Quote
Fargo: *bleeding and almost dead* And who the hell are you?
Macklin: *cocks shotgun* Private Investigator Macklin, traffic police. *BOOM*
Now I currently have in my possession The Passion of The Christ, Twisted, and Godsend and I will be watching these soon, expect a MoViE ZoNe on them in the very near future.

Well ya, I’m finally updatin this thing. Life pretty much sucks right now, nothing going on but work and XXWF, so ya……can’t wait to start college, maybe it’ll actually make my life interesting. Anyway, I’m thinking of starting another blog just to state my thoughts and what-not, where this should probably be going, anyway, here’s the latest movie I’ve seen and it’s review:
The Girl Next Door
Well I liked it, kind of made me depressed, but other then that, it was cool. You see, I don’t have any huge ‘memories’ about high school either (like the kid at the beginning) except for JROTC, but ya, I don’t count that. Basically I’m anti-social, so when my friends do call me and ask if I wanna hang out, I say no, why? I have no idea, only people I actually hang around with are my cousins, why? I have no idea, anyway, this too should be going on my personal blog (if I make one) but it kind of fit in with this movie, cuz the movie made me think about this crap and got me all depressed. Now anytime I think about the movie, I think about this crap, it’ll last until I see another movie, lol. Anyway…
*SPOILERS AHEAD*
The movie itself was awesome, the girl is absolutely hot! It’s the girl from Old School, the one whos still in High School, I recognized her when I saw the trailer for this. Her names Elisha Cuthbert btw. When it came out, my friend (who worked at the movie theater) asked me if I wanted to go see the sneak preview, I said no, me being anti-social and all. But I did get a chance to see the movie the other day, and basically it’s about this kid named Matt, who has no High School memories, a beautiful girl (aka Porn Star) Danielle is house-sitting his neighbors house, he watches her change in his window, she cataches him, she makes him strip in the street, they become friends, the first 30 minutes of the movie. Then she starts getting him to do crazy stuff, swim in his principal’s pool, skip class, etc. His friend Eli is the guy from Freddy v Jason, Linderman, he is the best part of this movie (aside from the girls!) Anyway, Eli sees Danielle in a porn tape and tells Matt, Matt feels betrayed and tries to score with Danielle in a cheap hotel room (after Eli’s persuasion) but Matt isn’t really into it, once in the room Danielle gets all slutty (faking), Matt asks her what shes doing, and she goes on to say something like, isn’t this what you want. She gets mad at him for making that assumption (Porn Star – Slut – Cheap Motel) So the next day Matt goes to her house to meet her producer/old boyfriend Kelly, this guy is great! He played Mickey in Scream 2. Anyway, she’s going back into the business, etc, etc. Matt raised 25k to bring some smart kid from Asia to USA, which Kelly acquires without Matt’s knowledge. Now Matt lost the girl he loved and the 25k. He goes to the Adult Convention and convinces Danielle to come back, but so does Kelly. Anyway, Matt and Danielle go to this Porn King’s house and convince him to give them 25k if they make this huge film, the film being a Sex Ed video on Prom Night. They pull it off and everyone lives happily ever after.
I plan to watch Taking Lives, Godsend, Highwayman, and Ella Enchanted (Hey, I like Medieval Movies) sometime soon. This Friday I plan to watch Passion of the Christ and Twisted. So expect some more reviews very soon. (if it takes me a while to see these, I’ll just post some reviews on old movies)
Now I’ll finish this with a quote from The Girl Next Door:
Eli: Alright, anyone have any questions?
Guy: Ya, don’t you think you’re a little young to just skip film school and get right into the business?
Eli: SHUT THE F*CK UP! Next Question.

Alright guys, today is a good day! I will be reviewing two of my favorite movies! eXistenZ and Timeline.
Timeline
If you like Medieval movies, you have to watch this one. This is the movie that just came out starring Paul Walker. I really love Medieval stuff, so I liked this movie a lot. It's about Chris' (Walker) father being sent back in time and Chris and a few other people have to go back to save him, the catch, back in time they only have a certain number of hours, in the present, the machine is broken, so the guys that stood back have to try and fix it in time, do they? Watch the movie to find out. From beginning to the finish, this movie is awesome, when it comes out tomorrow I'm definately buying it.
eXistenZ
Oh man, I watched this movie a while ago after someone suggested it to me and I just watched it again yesterday. This movie is great, pure brilliance. You want a twisted movie that you have to watch in order to understand? Here it is! This movie gets right into things at the beginning and ends with a huge twist. It's pretty much about this virtual reality game. It's kind of hard to explain any more. I higly, HIGHLY suggest this movie. It stars Jude Law, William Dafoe, and Jennifer Jason Leigh. I plan on buying this DVD asap!
Well that's it for today, right now I'm watching Wishmaster 2, if I like it, maybe I'll write a MoViE ZoNe on it, until then, here's the quote of the day:
"That's the address...........wiseass."
