Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed
Scooby Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed
I just got back from seeing it and I must say, it was awesome. If you liked the Scooby Doo Cartoons you have to see this movie! The thing I liked about it is it brought back a lot of the old monsters, from the cartoons. Awesome casting in names like Alicia Silverstone, Seth Green, and Peter Boyle. Awesome ending. Hilarious movie! I even laughed a couple times, and I'm not one to really laugh at a movie. This was definately a good movie. The music was awesome too. Highly suggested!

Now leave me the h*ll alone Nate!

Phone Booth + Starsky & Hutch
Phone Booth
I just finished watching Phone Booth. The second time I've ever seen it and I gotta say, that's one bad ass movie! With awesome acting jobs from Colin Farrel, Kiefer Sutherland, and Forest Witiker. You'd think, a movie about a guy in a phone booth, blah, but that's totally not the case. The things 'the caller' makes Farrel do make the movie very interesting. It's an 'edge of your seat' type movie in my opinion. There is comedy (the hookers), drama (his confessions), and excitement (the end). All in all, a very great movie.
Starsky & Hutch
Go watch it now. If you haven't seen this, Do It! Do what ever you have to do, sneak into the theatre, bribe someone, anything, beleive me, this movie is well worth it. Ben Stiller is absolutely hilarious in this movie, as is Will Farrel, but isn't he always. Snoop Dogg is also awesome in the movie, as is Vince Vaughn, Owen Wilson, and of course, Carmen Electra! Do It. Do It!
I know this one isn't much, but hey, at least I got something up, from now on, after I watch a movie ima try and get my thoughts down right away and get em up on ThE MoViE ZoNe.

House of the Dead and Thirteen
Well folks, it's time for another installment of ThE MoViE ZoNe. I lied, I will not be reviewing Radio, I haven't had the time to watch it, but I did watch two other movies, in which I will be reviewing now.
House of the Dead
Chris, if you haven't seen this movie, watch it! Classic Zombie movie, well, not classic, but in my opinion, it was pretty bad ass. It is based on the arcade game House of the Dead, and it wasn't that bad. I liked the slow motion parts during battle, that was awesome. The story is basically about this kids that go to an island called something morte (the same one in Jurassic Park II). There is a huge rave party on the island, when a group of friends miss the boat, and go to the island on another boat, when they get there practically everyone is dead. Then, they fight the zombies, I thought it was a pretty awesome movie, throughout the whole movie they showed scenes from the video game, you think that would screw the movie up, but I thought it was cool, If you have a chance to see this movie, watch it! Especially if you are a horror/ zombie movie fan.
Thirteen
A very powerful movie. If you haven't heard of this movie, it's pretty much about a thirteen year old girl. An average, nice, polite girl....until she meets the popular girl in Junior High. She completely changes her image, gets into sex and drugs, totally disrespects her mother, etc. This movie is very strong, to see actual 13 year old girls doing this, theres this part where she cuts her arm with scissors, and in all honesty, I had to turn around. I recommend it though, the ending kind of leaves you hanging, but none-the-less, good movie.
Now the next MoViE ZoNe, I will be reviewing Johnny English and Radio, hopefully.

28 Days Later and Marci X
Well folks, its time for another edition of ThE MoViE ZoNe. Now, today's MoViE ZoNe will concentrate on two films. 28 Days Later, and Marci X. First, 28 Days Later.
Now 28 Days Later, I thought, was a pretty bad ass movie. Now, people would automatically think this movie is about zombies, but it's not. Its about a virus that has taken over a part of Britian, not sure if it's London or not. Now, the people who are infected have characteristics just like the living dead, but they die like any person would. Practically everyone is infected. The virus enhances the rage in whoever gets effected by it. Now the movie begins explaining about the virus and showing how it gets out. Then it switches to 28 Days Later. Where practically everyone is infected, theres just a few people who aren't and they are just trying to stay alive. I guess you can say the movie is kinda slow paced, but I thought it was great, if you like horror movies about zombies, you will like this one. The music is pretty soothing, and exciting at times, it gets you into the movie. It has a decent ending, the only thing is it takes kind of a quick turn. One second they are running from the Infected, trying to get to a military blockade, the next they are trying to escape from the soldiers (who attempted to kill the one guy, and plannig to rape the two girls.) Although the action and story that happens during this isn't bad. I highly recommend this film.
Now my next movie, Marci X, some of you might of heard of this. It is with Damon Wayans and Lisa Kudrow. Now this movie did horendous in the box office, able to make a measly 1 million dollars. In my opinion, the movie was much better than people give it credit for. It is about this rapper(Dr. S - Damon Wayans), who's cd creates quite the ruckus. Now, this rich girl's(Lisa Kudrow) daddy is the owner of the record label. He has a heart attack because of all the media this is getting, so she decides to try and change Dr. S. I thought a few parts in this movie were hilarious. And all in all, it had a good plot.
Well, thats all for this week. Next time I will be reviewing Radio, which I have already seen, but it comes on video this Tuesday, and once I refresh my memory of it, you will get a detailed report. (I thought it was an awesome movie anyway.)

Well, here goes fot entry numero two.
Yesterday, I saw Cabin Fever. Now for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, it is a horror movie about a deadly disease. It wasn.t a bad movie, very graphic though, so if blood makes you squemesh, then this isn't the movie for you. My favortie part about the whole movie....Jordan Ladd. She is absolutely beautiful. She is the only reason I am going to go out and buy this movie. The movie is basically these 5 kiids, including Shawn, from Boy Meets World. Finals are over in college and they rent this cabin in the woods for a few days. Well, their first night there, this crazy infected guy comes knocking at their door, one of the kids shot the guy earlier with a BB gun. So the kid shuts the door on the guys face, the guy gets in their car, spitting up blood everywhere, so they beat the sh*t outta him and set him on fire. He goes running into the woods and the kids are just freaked out. The dude falls in the resovoir and dies. Well, guess who drinks the water? DING DING one of the kids! She gets infected with the disease, and when her friends find out she is put in isolation, now from here the movie gets interesting. The guy from before's dog is after the kids, each one catches the disease, one by one, etc. *Spoilers Ahead* The end wasn't that bad, the only part I thought sucked is that Jordan died. Shawn from BMW kinda goes on a killing spree, he kills Jordan, I guess so she won't have to suffer anymore, because her face is like totally rotted. And he just kills person after person. But he ends up getting infected, and the cops kill him. After this, these kids make lemonade with the resovoir water and several people drink it. And a truck titled "Spring Water" is seen driving out of there. There was this one hilarious part, at least I thought so. Theres this old guy that ones a store, at the beginning, the kids are at the store, there is a gun hanging up, they ask whats that for, the old guy says 'Oh, that's for the n*ggers." So the kids just kinda finish up quickly and get out of there. So at the end, some African Americans are making their way into the store, the old guy grabs the gun and gives it to them, starts saying 'Whats up my n*ggers and gives them dap! LMAO.
Well, that's that for entry number two

Movies......and so it begins........
Well, I would've had my first entry up a couple days ago, but it got all screwed up and poofed into the miles of nothing on the internet, I was kinda upset and didnt feel up to writing it all over again, but I will now.
Well, let me start by saying my movie collection is around 250 movies, actually a little more. Have I seen all of them? No. Most of them? Yes. Maybe around 15-20 I haven't seen. Well, anyway, I work at a little movie store called Movieland, a place I've been going to since I was like this many years old *holds up 8 fingers*. As you can see on your left, I am now 17, so thats almost 10 years! This year I got a job there, and it's awesome, especially since I am totally interested in movies. Is that my future? Movies? No, I plan to be a lawyer....with a might-TEE-Fine movie collection ;-D.
Now, let's get down to business, today I watched a movie that I bought last week, called The Best of Times, with Robin Williams and Kurt Russell. Basically, it's about a high school football team, Kurt's the star QB, Robin is the WR that screws up the play that would've beat they're long time arch nemesis. A team they have never defeated. Now, someodd years later, Robin wants to have a rematch with the same two teams, it's a pretty good movie, good ending, good plot, all around....good. I recommend it if you like either actors or football movies.
Now for the part that I lost the other night. On Tuesday, it was Jan 13, a day I was waiting for since November! Freddy vs Jason was released on DVD! Did I buy it? OF COURSE I DID! As soon as I got out of school. Along with it, I bought Underworld, which I will get too, but right now, its Freddy v Jason time. Now if you know me, you know I pretty much was crazy about this movie, made it to #2 on my Top 10 list, didn't pass Mallrats though. Now on the DVD, they had the original ending. I though it was pretty bad ass. *Spoilers Ahead* As you know, the ending of the movie featrued Jason stalking out of the lake with Freddy's head, then Freddy winks and thats it, sure, it sets up for the sequal, but it wasnt that great. Now the original ending had Lori and Will at Lori's house two months after the epic battle, they are about to 'get it on' when Lori tells Will to stop kissing her neck, he was getting a little rough. He sits up and smiles evily, shoots his right hand up, blades sprout from the fingers, and he slashes the screen, then the credits start to role, the only downfall to this is it makes it seem like Freddy won, I am a Jason fan. Now this would've been a great ending, have Jason come out of the water, with no head in his hands, then have it switch to the two months later scene at Lori's house, that way neither one loses or wins and it still sets up for the sequal. Well I can talk about Freddy v. Jason all day, but it's time to move on.
Underworld, a great movie, Werewolves v Vampires, what can be better. I really liked this movie, for one, Kate Beckinsale is hot, and secondly, it had some bad ass graphics and fight scenes in it, the storyline was pretty good too. Plus, the side I wanted to win pretty mush won! Yippy Skippy for Me! I highly recommend this movie if your contemplating whether to rent/buy it.
Just would like to end my first entry with my top 10 favorite movies:
1. Mallrats
2. Freddy v Jason
3. Pirates of the Caribbean
4. Bio-Dome
5. Dude, Where's my Car?
6. Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
7. Just Married
8. TIE Half Baked/ The Faulty/ Jerry Maguire
9. TIE Halloween Series (Haloween, H20, and Ressurection)/ Scream Series (1 and 3)
10. All TMNT Movies
Now, this next section will be a routine thing, everytime I do an entry, a random movie quote and a question will follow, if you would like to guess the quote or answer the question post the following things on the tagboard, say the name of the movie the quote is from, the date of the entry, and if you think your really good, name the character that says it, and just give the answer to the question. I will post the answer to each quote and question on the tagboard when I post a new entry. Well, heres the quote:
